Alex Bakken
Alex started 100% Safety Inc. in 2018 after working extensively in Health and Safety on major projects in oil and gas, construction and pipelines. Seeing safety become monotonous and compliance based, she wanted to do something different, inspiring people to embrace safety as something they want to strive for, not just a function that has to be done.
By creating clean, concise content that is current to legislative requirements while keeping programs easy to understand and affordable, Alex has helped many companies of all sizes and industries foster a better understanding of OH&S to create and achieve their individual health and safety goals.
Bonita Tucker
Bonita has over a decade of safety experience, first becoming an NCSO and then achieving her Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from the University of Alberta. Her background spans the oil and gas sector and entrepreneurship; having successfully operated her own business, she brings both formal training and real-world experience to every project.
She conducts SECOR audits and works closely with organizations to achieve and maintain their SECOR, which allows them to bid on more jobs, participate in the Partnerships in Injury Reduction program, and potentially receive WCB premium discounts. She specializes in building practical, effective Safety Management Systems tailored to your operation that meet legislative compliance requirements. Passionate about creating safer workplaces, she focuses on building systems that are not only compliant but also sustainable, practical, and easy for teams to follow.
